Shocker of a performance v Zimbabwe in that 3rd ODI match......once again arrogant and poor shot selection was Aust downfall. Nearly gave away the 1st ODI match v NZ.....great effort by Carey and Green with the bat.....though Carey's keeping still way short of international level.

Could harp on about the continual selection of Finch, but will be wasting my breath The fella isn't going anywhere fast and yes I have no doubt he will eventually score that  50 to keep his spot in the team. It is so obvious the fella is cooked, might as well bat him at 8, because apparently his captaincy is vital to the sides success.

I worry a bit about Green TBH, I know last night was probably just cramp but cant help but thinking given his history of injury that they should tread carefully with him. He is a special talent and they should be prioritising his longevity in test cricket. Australia have plenty of other all rounders to cover the T20 and ODI formats.

As for the game I felt that Williamson erred by taking Boult off after 5 overs when the ball was swinging around. Another 3 overs and one more wicket from him and the game may well have been done and dusted. What Green and Carey did really well was to keep the required run rate under control so they didnt have to do too much in the last 10 overs even when Maxwell got out doing Maxwell things.

Finch is a walking wicket at the moment, they will probably stick with him till after the T20 world cup but he won't be seen after that.  I remember when Tubby Taylor had that horror run of form in the 1990s and they stuck with him and eventually he scored a century. Finch shouldnt be above being dropped though. Smith could easily take over the ODI captaincy

Finch is now actually just taking the piss out of the selectors and sadly Australian Cricket fans now.
The selectors are too piss weak to drop him (Coach Ronald McDonald is his good mate) and he doesnt have the good sense to finally retire due to the lost $$$$ that come with that consequence.

Another houdini act by Aust, and with others failing around him Finch's woes will be papered over once again......pleased to beat the Kiwi's and to win the series, but geez both sides have a shed load of work to do before the next ODI WC.

Yeah the Finch train wreck continues, obviously he wont get dropped, atleast change things up by batting him lower down in the order.....and perhaps get him to find some form .....and FFS drop Stoinis for good.

The bowling unit is literally papering over the cracks of the batting failures, firstly by making an extra 80 to bring the score up to a competitive 195, then swarming all over the Kiwis, who appeared to be too scared to play a shot and put the Aussies under no pressure at any stage.
I think Stoinis will be out once Mitch Marsh is fit.
