I think he’s becoming something special and would love to see him line up with the Scorchers.  But if they are managing him, his long term health is more important.  I heard one of the commentators mention that he may be in the picture as Australian captain in the long future.

Word is the Ashes boys are keen to play BBL finals That would be a huge boost for the BBL finals.And we have Adelaide and Hobart hitting form also.

No Mike.  He doesn't have a BBL contract and I don't think CA would release him anyway with his history of back stress issues.  I also note the first one dayer against NZ is only two days after the BBL final so it'll be interesting to see what CA does with that and if they make the likes of Marsh and others available for the final.

The Scorchers have virtually imploded in the first 6 overs of the final and will need a very good recovery to get back in the game now. They need to try and get at least 130 - 140 to give their bowlers something to defend. Patterson, Inglis, Marsh and Munro all threw their wickets away without taking account of the pitch which is not a batsmens paradise.

6 for 171….who would have thought?  Not me, I had a snit, so stopped watching it for a while  .  

I guess with that depleted SS batting lineup any score over 100 was going to be enough......had to giggle hearing SS complaing about not being allowed to play Steve Smith......not sure Smith would of done much TBH.....ok  at T20 when on song at best.....no match winner though.....well done Svorchers......Evans is definitely the overseas recruit of the BBL this year.....played some blinders.

Wow 4-25 off 6 overs..To make it to 170 against a good bowling attack.What a fantastic partnership between Evans and Turner.Just shows it's not all about Brute power and little flicks behind the keeper..Very well controlled batting.
To be fair the 6ers where well and truly beaten up.Players out with COVID, International players taken out of the squad.And playing injured players.
It's been a great series for relatively unknown English players.

CA need to look at the BBLXII format.The length of the season..14 games is to much.The addition of two NZ teams.The removal of a Sydney and Melbourne team.Play the final on Australia day.
Tv ratings on 7,Foxtel+Kayo are holding well.
No games in Perth was a disaster for the BBL.With the Schorchers drawing the best crowds.Hopefully next year COVID is in the taillights for all sports.

Well done Scorchers, a mile in front of all the other teams, all on the back of no home games and playing virtually the whole comp in an iso bubble.

I can just see the WACA preparing the 'year book':  it will rattle on about what a great season  the club has had; people should write to them, rather, noting only the 'Shield drought'.
