Taken way to young RIP Deano.

Deano & Viv were my idols of cricket. Remember around 1987 doing a VHS to send to my son in Melbourne & saying that Deano had just made a ton when my wife rushed out & said Jones had just made a century. We all laughed & it's on the VHS (now a CD). My son got me an autographed book "Dean Jones one-day magic" for Xmas in 1991. It's personalized & signed Dean Jones + a funny face.. Lots of photos, stats & cartoons by Jeff Hook. Will reread it over the weekend.. Hated him dumped for Stevies twin prick.

When Clive Lloyd played against Dean mainly in ODI matches.They use to bowl top of the of stump to DJ.And wait for Dean to make an error.
That day they all bowled to short or overpitched trying to York DJ.He cut +pulled and straight drove the windie quicks.
Remember Dean being a really good at the pull shot.But only really trying to hook at the Waca.

Remember Australia being up against it and then Mervyn Hughes came out
he copped an absolute hiding and wore some serious body hits at high speed but faced up to the next ball almost laughing at them
He also clobbered his way to an unbelievable 72 and I reckon it was the start of the standing up to the sheer brilliant class of the West Indies
as the others all say it helped Jones to 216 which was monumental
