I find it absolutely incredible this bloke wants to leave the Eagles for Port Adelaide after what he's put his club through with the drug testing saga and subsequent 2 year ban which the Eagles stood by him all the way.

Is there something we don't know? Perhaps the Eagles have deliberately low balled him and are happy to see him go? You Eagles fans must be just as miffed as I am.

not sure they low balled him the offer was 2 years, if they wanted him gone you wouldn’t have offered him 2 years 
next question what’s he worth as port would have trade for him or try and risk getting him in the pre season draft

Mixed emotions from this Eagles supporter.  He certainly owes the club big time, but if he’s not happy, then let him go.  That would be best for him and the club.  If he’s not happy, he’s got to be sure that Port will fill the gap.  Gotta be worth their pick 8 as a trade.

So Junior Rioli is on his way to Port, maybe the Eagles can wrest Georgiades (??) out of their hands for him.  Looks like Eagles have thrown their hand in for Jackson from Melbourne.  Hope they use a bit of common sense and restraint and not do a Tim Kelly to get him again.  Nic Nat has a 2 year deal, wtf?  Should have been a 1 year deal, then a further 1 if they can keep him on the track.

Port won’t want to give up Georgiades but if the reports of $600k a year then something has to give and the fact that they have committed to take Rioli could this be the Eagles version of the Dockers/Weller deal getting more than you should because they have over committed to the deal.
Definitely agree with the Jackson deal, potential is a scary word in footy especially when giving up two first round picks. All will depend on what Jackson wants to do with his footy. If he wants to be the main man and lead the ruck West Coast would be the right choice or if he’s happy playing forward and pinch hitting in the ruck over the long term then Fremantle would be the go. Not worth anymore the 650k to 700k a year on a 4 year deal

Agree fully Unk, I think Trev’s use by date is well past.  They need some fresh leadership.

CBAG, Jackson had a stand out year in 2021, but (I thought) an average one this year.  Not worth selling your first born for him.
