I think they did well to get TK. While they gave a lot, I think they’re banking on all their kids developing so that picks won’t necessarily be priority. Good to see they didn’t trade anyone out. While this doesn’t necessarily translate into a flag, it helps.
Listening to the radio and looking at these pages, there’s a lot of sooky Freo supporters around.

We learnt most about Fremantle out of the Tim Kelly trade

Not sure we learnt anything about Freo. Kelly had made his mind up over 12 months ago it was west coast or stay at the cats. Paid a hefty price and time will tell the true story on who wins out of that deal, hopefully a fit and healthy Kelly keeps improving or stays at a similar level as coming back home hasn’t always been the best thing for some players being home can throw up more challenges than playing in a different state.
If being home helps him then get your money on him for next years Brownlow

Sorry to burst your bubble Bubble Boy but just having watched Tim Kelly speak on 7 news tonight he spoke about how he was ALWAYS a mad WC supporter and grew up idolising Chris Judd and ALWAYS dreamed about playing for the Eagles one day. So quite clearly today his boyhood dream came true. I do not ever recall circumstances like this before, absolute gun player. Desperate for a crack at AFL and gets it. Family situation basically demands he needs to come home but basically rules out freo. I'm sure for 800k a season he could pull on the purple.

You clearly have selected hearing, he never ruled out Fremantle, only some in the media said this. Had WC not been prepared to pay overs like last year and Fremantle became his only option then he would have come home to Freo. Hogan grew up a Freo fan possibly Lobb too so Fremantle was their first choice. Big deal get over yourself.

And by the way, plenty are saying the Eagles have taken a very big gamble here with what they have given up. Basically have to win another premiership in the next two years to justify what they’ve coughed up.

No sour grapes at all DF I'm happy for Tim and his family and I've got no doubt whatsoever if he came to Fremantle he would have been happy also. Good luck to Tim and the Eagles. Sweet grapes. ???

Had to laugh at the freo numpties ringing up 6pr last night after his manager had been on, saying they feel comfortable about the trade now they know the reasons as he didn't bag freo, jeez how naive are these cretins, as if a player manager is going to publicly bag freo when he may need to do future deals. The losers will grab anything to feel good.
