Another interesting element in all of this, AFL chairman Richard Goyder is a board member at Woodside and former board member at Fremantle. Surely board members at AFL clubs have knowledge of these matters and they would have to have ticked off on the settlement. The plot thickens.
Eat what DD, the egg dripping off your face? You got it wrong on every front. Sponsors are backing the club, Workcover were involved, Lyon doesn’t need to go, amount paid, job is tenable and I’ve saved your best comment till the end “be a man and admit it”.
Really? No one can discuss the details of the matter due to confidentiality clauses which forms but of the workplace grievance policy and the AFL’s Respect and Responsibility policy. This has been reported at least 100 times in the last 2 weeks.
Mate fair dinkum with the amount of bs coming from you you’d be a certainty to get a job at the Herald Sun.
Lol you idiot the only reason that press conference happened was because of pressure from the sponsors. Didn't you make it past Nip and Dora? Admitting he was the person in question would not compromise any confidentiality agreement one iota. Didn't say anything about discussing the matter. Organisations showing a united front is usually the first reaction and means jack shit. Essendon showed a commitment to Hird until it started to unravel. We don't know yet how the complainant reacts to what she has seen today. Stay tuned.
Please stop embarressing yourself with your lack of knowledge on this issue. Discussions on presses started nearly two weeks ago. All public comments by sponsors were discussed at board level prior to being released. Divulging names of those involved is a clear breach of the confidentiality clause which forms part of the two policies in play.
PS I never disputed there wasn't going to be a press conference. I stated the sponsors are backing the club which has been proven to be the case.
Lol you are the one here embarrassing yourself. It's become quite obvious you are closely connected to the Peel/Fremantle alignment. Hagdorn has this morning on 6PR basically formed the same opinion it was nothing more than a let's get behind the coach show with senior players from the leadership group in attendance in an attempt to show everyone is behind the coach.
Hagdorn also heard there are some players who ARE distracted by this. Every player will have his own thoughts on it and I reckon we will see the effect of that at seasons end and beyond when players come out of contract. Try and take your hand off it and hopefully you will get your 20/20 vision back.
And yesterday Ross was reading from a carefully scripted sheet of paper. When does Ross ever do that?
Let's start with KIm Hagdorn. He has less credibility than G Whately. It is akin to Fox News's mantra "some people have said". So if Freo win today it means that all players are behind R Lyon. As for your observation that he was reading from a script. It is not too difficult to deduce that is based on legal advice.
Just in case there is any misconception that I am supporting R Lyon. I am not. What I am doing is observing that NOTHING in the public domain that I have seen or heard indicates that he should be sacked. should that changed then I will comment based on that change.
What I do object to is the crap that purports to be quality journalism where this issue is conflated with a BUSINESS and FOOTBALL decision to host the Gold Coast home game. Similarly, for every other grievance that the journalist has against Fremantle Football Club.
And so there is absolutely no doubt my opinion of G Whately's professionalism with respect to R Lyon is that it is lower than a Liberal Party commitment to build a rail line to Ellenbrook.
