I have often wondered why the AFL drip feed us the fixtures during the week leading up to their release. So far we have discovered amongst other things
1. Eagles will play the first game at the new stadium (v Sydney)
2. Dockers will play an away game at home against Gold Coast in round 3
3. There will be another game in China
4. Freo's first game will be a Saturday night against Essendon in Round 2.

If the fixtures are finalised now why not just release the whole lot?

No probs with Eagles getting the first game

BUT fark me dumb time and day, should of been a block buster on the Saturday Night to showcase the lights and get it into every lounge room around OZ.
