Dont think there will be much storm if the eagles lose, think it will just slip under the radar.

Something wrong with someone more obsessed with certain other clubs than the fortunes of his own club about to play finals. Perhaps says a fair bit about the lack of confidence you have in your clubs chances of avoiding a straight sets exit.

Don't think so Baz, their season will cop a bit of a caning methinks - and rightly so. I think the Swans will go all the way, but how will you handle it If they go out in straight sets??

I don't think so mate, the last minute miracle of making the finals will have them safe and sound for now, win or lose this weekend, that's how the local media works.

Yup local media will tip em ( of course ) if/when they lose the media will bang on about "well it reflects their inconsistant season, and to be honest its not a surprise". Of course the same media who talked em up in the first place. Yes Thommo bz and Karl im talking about you guys.

Think I'm losing where this topic is heading. My feelings are that whatever happens to the Swans, they will receive favourable press win lose or draw, considering where they have come from this season - and rightly so. The Eagles will (or should) get flogged by the press and rightly so. I know unk hates the Eagles and their supporters coz they boo more than the mature Cats supporters  but the average WCE follower feels the same as me. We understand where we are at. Don't worry too much about big nose and my way or the highway Langdon - they are legends in their own lunch box.

The problem with the local media is they are paid to spruike up the two local teams chances, basically the stations know that more people tune in when the teams are either winning or people think they will win, and sponsors pay a lot of money to hear the teams the have backed get talked up,

the end result especillay in a small two team town like perth is we get a lot of crap spun about how great the two teams are.

gone are the great days of guys like George G , who would just come on and didn't give a rats arse wbout who he upset and call a turd a turd rather than polish it up.

expect Baz Langdon Tommo Hagdorn to sing the praises of the eagles even if they lose, based on the epic victory over Adelaide that got them into the finals from no where, and then turn on how great 2018 is shaping up for them and how they will be a big chance win the flag, no problems at all. once Nik Nat is back...

because that's the way we roll in Perth.
