Nobody disputes the fact that it is a CFL thing, but geez they only induct ONE, yes ONE legend every year. What do you want one from each state every year!!!!!
AS Barry Hall said in his speech, it is not those that are in there that you are in awe of, but those that aren't.
And as much as well like to bag the umpires they are still part of our game.Brett Allen umpired almost 350 games at VFL and AFL level.Don't you think that is a worthy contribution to our great game!!!
And yes they are bloody big trees coming down.

Firstly I didn't make a comment about the umpire. However, I didn't say that there should be one from each state each year. However, it is irrefutable that there is NOT ONE West Australian who has Legend status that was not involved in the VFL/AFL. Of 27 legends a far more reasonable ratio would be about 50% VFL and 50% WAFL/SANFL. So approximately 14 VFL and around 6 to 7 SANFL and 6-7 WAFL would make it more acceptable as an Australian Aussie Rules legend.

So it is not a chip on our shoulders or mine in particular. Call it for what it is and it is the VFL Legends not the Australian Aussie Rules Legends. If that is what they want, fine. However, don't present it as something it is patently not.

CFL thing or did you mean AFL? I don't watch that sort of stuff, after all it's just another VFL wankfest. The thing that shits me though, is that they talk about past AFL stars and legends and a lot of these people may have been VFL stars, but never played AFL. It's all Victorian claptrap The Gerro's of this world are full of shit!!

Yup the elite comp that is what it was. The main comp is what is remembered by prolly 80% of followers. To make it big in the VFL, was the ultimate. Not too many footy followers ( other that wa ppl) followed the WAFL.
I believe the winners was shown here???, gotta tell ya wa and sa football never was seen in the real home of footy, so seriiously what do you bloke expect. P.S, have talked to me contacts at Mc Cains, and there is a pallet of chips on the way for you blokes, fer yer shoulders..... lol

Will add Merv Carrott, Peter Lecras etc to substaniate Swandogs argument further.....

Would Glen Durnthaler being inducted to the AFHOF be a bridge too far?!
