Got to totally agree with you Grassy.

For the last 10 or so years, it has become a game more than a sport. The BUSINESS of the GAME, is to make money. People need to realise this.

For all those who blame the vics for running the AFL, lets not forget all teams voted in favour for the expansion teams.... why???? cos pay TV will put money money in all clubs accounts. It was never for the betterment of the SPORT

The article by Caroline Wilson (see link) perfectly articulates the parasitical nature of the AFL and the Victorians' attitude to Aussie Rules. It also shows the future of the WAFL.

Well said PN. Plenty of AFL listed players and ex afl players galloping arounf in the WAFL. like ya said 5000 across 4 games, in the second tier after AFL, aint flash.
I dont like the suits that run the AFL, but not everything can be layed at their feet.

A business has to keep going forward or it will die. AFL is a business and must evolve. BUT, this crap about giving a team that was not good enough to make the 8 and put a team out that was good enough to make it is crap. Also, listening to PR this morning, people were ringing in with all these bullshit ideas of 2 divisions and the American style "conferences" etc is utter out and out crap. These people are full of stupidity.....lets fix something that isn't broken....utter dickheads.

The VPL has destroyed the VFA. The VPL has destroyed Tassie footy. And now the VPL in concert with the WAFC has the goal of destroying the SANFL. The last target to be destroyed will be the SANFL.
