Who thinks it would be great if we had 14 AFL teams playing the other 13 teams twice for a 26 round season and a top five at the end of it.

North Melbourne
Footscray
St Kilda
Port Adelaide

Back to their respective leagues. (They have always got their hands out [St Kilda less than the others] and have the least amount of supporters)

This would make every game a block buster- if GC (kangaroos) and West Sydney (bulldogs)got off the floor.

Port will never have more supporters that the 15K that turn up to games.

NM and Footscray will always have their hand out and have little support.

St Kilda because if the other three went to their respective leagues it would leave one more club to make the 14 club limit. St Kilda the obvious choise.

Remember I am not suggesting a merge, a relocation or for clubs to fold. Just to stop asking for handouts and to play in a competition (their original) that they can afford.

This would have three big advantages.

It would make Victorian clubs travel more and take away their advantage (the west australian and south australian disadvantages.

It would allow more money to be spent on State Leagues. As money wont be sucked from the system by NM and Footscray and Port.

It would allow more blockbusters as the remaining clubs have large followings. (excepting GC and West Sydney - but these areas have to grow and marketing can do wonders)

A better idea is to get rid of:-

Fremantle
West Coast
Port Power
Adelaide Crows

Then you'd see a full strength SANFL and WAFL again.

Couldnt care less about how much money the AFL fork out.
I tend to agree however that if a club has no supporters then an official thought process needs to commence. Although 15k supporters is still quite a lot of people with love for the game. I would never rob them of that because of money. Obviously Time For A Flag you dont support any of the teams you think should be quashed, if you did there would be some credibility atained.
MikeXU1, mate you gave me a chuckle. Getting rid of Freo and the Eagles might save the WAFL, but nothing will bring it back to full strength.
