Scary thing about GWS is I'm still hearing names called out I've never heard of. It's definitely been manufactured this way by the AFL. They would be loving what they are seeing. No team has ever been given a leg up like the Giants.

Fremantle should be making a play for Rory Lobb as a replacement for Sandy and Coniglio. Get these two Swans boys home.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

The Hawks have been fantastic over the past 4 or 5 years but they have had 3 very lucky victories this year and today they have been blown out of the water by a team very much on the rise. Can't really call the end of a dynasty on one game but I cannot remember the last time they were taken apart like they have been today.

Great to hear of two Swans products doing so well..but write the Hawks off at your peril, they will still be there when it matters most and that isn't in April, love it how after one loss everyone from the media down start jumping to conclusions

Absolutely agree about the Hawks, whilst GWS played well the Hawks didn't look switched on and played bruise free footy, this game gets played at the Mcg it would be a different result.

Of course , playing at the g is a 75 point home ground advantage isnt it

Yep today means jackshit in the scheme of the whole season, the Hawks at 4-2 are still in a fantastic position, and have a history of peaking when it actually matters and that isn't in April!!

No I didn't the Hawks have always had troubles with the cats, not in finals though if the Hawks are within reach of the top four when Roughie gets back they are going to be hard to beat again come September.

Same thing last year we were 4-4, meant jack shit and in 2014 mid May got done by Port in Adelaide, written off..but we all know what happened after that! Challenging us this year will be Sydney, Geel, GWS, North (if they stay healthy) and maybe Adelaide but still not sure about them. I would be more confident being a fan of the Hawks than ANY other team atm, history show that to be correct

I refer to the phenomenon of GWS as 'the Newsouthwalesisation' of football, and of course the same concept can be applied to the AFL's policy towards Queensland. I use the word 'policy' deliberately too, as the aim, as others have pointed out on the thread with aplomb, is nothing less than then the conquering of the non-football states for their code.

Only time will tell whether the 'policy' will be successful or whether, even more importantly from our perspective, the 'policy' will lead to the destruction of football in the traditional states over the coming decades.

Both were brilliant BH. Great to see how Lobbe in particular has developed his marking and footy smarts. Could see the potential in those few games he played for Swans

Good comment terror. The Dockers wasted there good 1st qtr against the breeze. Then the horrible 1-8 in the 2nd.Crows where off yesterday ,none of there key forwards had an impact. Walters saved Freo in that last qtr to aviod a big loss.
