Watching the GWS v Hawthorn game this afternoon, I got the sense that here were two teams heading in opposite directions. The Hawks have been fantastic over the past 4 or 5 years but they have had 3 very lucky victories this year and today they have been blown out of the water by a team very much on the rise. Can't really call the end of a dynasty on one game but I cannot remember the last time they were taken apart like they have been today.

Mike I said to a fellow Freo supporter a week or two ago after watching them on the telly, forget Hawthorn, wait until we play GWS. They will tear us a new one.

Yep that's not a team you want to play with a 0-6 record. At least it's in Perth I suppose :S

How good were Swans boys Rory Lobb & Stevie Coniglio Mike. Lobb's superb contested marking is becoming scarily good! :)

Mate Rory is an absolute jet, he's a bloke you can build your team around.

He had only played half a season of footy before trying out at Swans too PN. Got a crack when Lammie pulled the pin early into the season and now look at him mate sheesh

Yeah I sort of remember him as a skinny ruckman lining up against Perth didn't really stand out I guess GWS saw something in him 206cm and bloody agile for his size, and he can develop while Mummy does most of the ruckwork , as a forward.

Great to hear of two Swans products doing so well..but write the Hawks off at your peril, they will still be there when it matters most and that isn't in April, love it how after one loss everyone from the media down start jumping to conclusions

Absolutely agree about the Hawks, whilst GWS played well the Hawks didn't look switched on and played bruise free footy, this game gets played at the Mcg it would be a different result.

Reckon Mcarthy & Treloar would be happy with their decisions to move.. Both won't play finals for 5 years!

GWS will beat freo they are the real deal & can win the flag. If freo dish that crap up again they will be 0-8 bad kicking is bad football & the crows didn't play that well..
