PN they have only won 2 AFL flags as 14 were in a Melbourne suburban comp. If we are including them then Perth have won 7 AFL flags!
On another note in light of the former Essenscum coach's place in all of this also considering he was injected along with his players back in 2012 I wonder if ASADA have kept records of the swabs from his playing days ala the horse racing fraternity and those swabs of former coach now be reassessed by ASADA to see if there are any abnormalities that may not have been able to be detected back before 2007!

Well unk (et al). It would seem that I am not the only person that believes vfl flags mean nothing in the AFL. They mean as much as WAFL, Sanfl etc flags?

Semantics really 58, lets just say won 16 flags in the highest profile footy league in the land. Nearly all players aspired to play in the VFL ( not all i grant you) but i;d reckon 80% plus would have wanted to. Im not denigrating the WAFL or SANFL. Is just the way the greater% of footy fans think ( again not all).

not sure what this has to do with raping your neighbours wife as its a decision made by a sporting body, if you are not aware of the differences maybe have a read about how they can reach a decision.

The AFL should be providing absolutely zero help to Essendon apart from the provisions already given to them to top up their list. Essendons problems are their problems created by the very people they employed, and might I add, sacked and paid out final two years of a contract to a former coach to make way for the very person responsible for putting them in the situation they find themselves today.

They are on their own as far as I'm concerned but if at some point down the track after they've used up all their resources I guess they are entitled to go cap in hand like all the other Melbourne based basket cases have over the years syphoning money out of the system to stay alive.
