Its about time that the AFL reviewed its weak points system. Hawthorn thugs are belting opponents & being fined. Its worthwhile punching an opponent behind play if you only get a $1500 fine & reduced to $1000 providing you win & plead guilty. Hodge, Lewis & team mates do this often to ensure a win. The AFL should fine these players AND add a 50pts carryover. Second offences should receive a SUSPENSION.

I find it hard to judge the Hodge one on Walker - did he deliberately knee him? I couldn't peg it. I do think however, that they were pi$$ weak on the Murphy sling. That was worth 4 weeks. It was a "I'm going to kill you" sling on a man with his arms pinned - gutless act.

Mitchell on Walker was one for the ages in terms of a perfectly executed corky...guarantee the Hawks lads were having a good chuckle about it after the game as most players at any level would.

Mitchell with his 'accidental' knee torpedo on Walker (got him subbed out), also on Fyfe, and also on Griffen in Round 6. This bloke is intentionally injuring very good players. Scott 'The Dirty Dog' Mitchell should cop a few weeks.

Him Lewis and Hodge, indeed good footballers, thugs all the same IMHO

2008 GF Mitchell was hip and shouldering an unsuspecting Ablett jnr miles off the ball. Always been dirty, just very clever at concealing it.

Agree, him Lewis and Hodge have got away with "murder" for years, the MRP and media love means they have escaped heaps of scrutiny.
