Great to see the two local clubs heading up the ladder after round 6. I must say I was impressed with the Eagles yesterday with their ability to put pressure on the Port Adelaide players and force them into error. They have 2 very winnable games to come and this win may be the impetus for a finals appearance in 2015. Meanwhile the Dockers continue to take all before them and their challenge will be to make sure that they keep all their key players fresh and healthy during the season.

Freo are the juggernaut of the comp. the benchmark.
They do what they do best, steamrolling teams for a few quarters and then enjoying a cup of tea with a twist of lemon for the rest of the game.
I am really happy for Adam Simpson taking his first scalp at the Eagles.

Freo seem to be barnstorming at the moment, I cannot see anyone beating them for the flag this year.

All the rest seem flaky.

The Vics wont be happy at the moment with top 2 taken by WA teams and 5 of the top 8 going to interstate teams.
Football is good at the moment :)

I really dont see where Freo lose. Will they have an off day? Will Lyon rest most of his players against one of the shitter teams?

I feel its a bit of a changing of the guard this year, with Hawks, Cats and Sydney all being beatable as opposed to the last few years where they havent been.

Unless there is some sort of a diaaster with injuries, freo wont stop , all the hard hards fixture wise appear to be behind them at the start of the year, they know they must secure a top 2 finish, a top 4 is virtually already locked in,top 2 not far away, cant see too many challengers, to be honest its probably the weakest the overall comp has looked for as long as I can remember.

certainly hard to pick winners consistently this year. Port are disappointing after last year and The Hawks seem to be in trouble with a few major outs, Sydney are hit and miss, but did start slowly last year and got to The GF. Pretty open really, Dockers in front at the moment and subject to injuries could finally break through. They have pretty good depth now which will help later in the season. Was surprised The Eagles beat Port at home, if they maintain that form, they will be in the mix. Interesting year.

it's a very long season and cream always rises to the top. i have no doubt hawthorn, sydney, ports will be there abouts at the pointy end.

Freo are actually reminding me of the eagles in 1991, looking unbeatable and beating good sides easily. For their sake I hope the ending isn't the same.

I agree with what someone else said, the opposition isn't up to normal scratch. Freo wont get a better chance to win a flag. Though theres a long way to go yet. But they must be feeling chuffed at the moment

Other than Freo, Hawthorn and the like didn't lose because they rocked up with some shite footy, the underdogs have generally have turned out a game of awesome footy. Did you watch the Giants game?
The level of footy is pretty healthy.
Albeit not consistent for most.
