I think it only a matter of time before they win a flag. If they don't I would be surprised tbh. Even without Pavlich & Sandilands they are still a chance in the next few years, with the list they have.

They blew their golden chance 2 years ago when they got stage fright and choked! If they don't make the GF in near near future I think the cupboard will be bare for a quite a few long years.

I am leaning to a west coast win by about 32 points pulling away. Pavilich willbe crying at the end of te third quater because it has finally dawned on him he has wasted another pre season and his entire career at his spun of a club. Do people really still go with what's written on paper these days yes freo have the better team and yes that they have had a few more successful seasons in the past few years than west coast have had and yes westcoast might be one of the uninformed teams in the comp and freo one of the informed teams at the moment but in Aussie rules footy I know one thing in some pased underdog games wins have come from the one who wants it the most and has nothing to lose on the day like the one we just saw with the hawks and essendon. I hope westcoast come out firing and give freo a run for their money.

Absolutely true, we just have to look at Gold Coast who have appeared to be very complacent and therefore have been beaten by 2 lower ranked opponents. Games are not won on paper.

A/Man, you state WCE fans keep bringing up the past, then you bring up 1991? Its a little confusing friend. I can tell you every fan whose club has won flags still bring them up today. I still talk about 1996 and 1999, never 1998 that was just a total nightmare after half time. You can bet your docker backside that if or when Freo win a flag, you yourself will be spruiking about it on and off for eternity. Especially in the bad times and those times will return one day eventually. That is how it goes when you reach the pinnacle. You will know what I mean one day, hopefully for your sake.

reminds me of the old EP/WP days. We hated them & when we knocked them off at Leederville it was a great feeling, vice versa for them Im sure. But they got us a few times in Grand Finals and that just burns. Especially when they are Grand Finals that we know we should have won. I don't actually think they choked there anchorman, more like they where bashed into submission. First team to challenge the Vics for the cup and the only 2 team to play a GF at that shite hole. Add to that the game in my opinion was a lot tougher back than and players like your dirty little sniping motor mouth would not take the field or at best would be carried of on a stretcher. Langford , Eyres and co put up with the sort of crap Balla and Crowley dish up I do not think so.
