Don't agree. He's not 25 yet and while there have been a few out of the box, not many big men (esp ruckmen)develop till 26/27. As someone said, we have been dudded by the media into believing he is a super star. His time will come, but it's a frustrating wait.

Maybe 58.... do you think he will "learn" where to to run?, also do you think he is a tad lazy?

Well unk, if he has team mates, he'll learn where to run. Lazy? Not sure, maybe he just doesn't know where to be atm. One thing is for certain, there are a lot of people lining up in hopes that he fails and falls on his face.!!! Bit unfair on the lad methinks.

a few years ago natanui ran down the subi tortoise in the grand final and the black duck fraternity rose as one.
did fark all after that effort as subi shut him down.
how old is he????? 25
should have delivered years ago on his freakish ability. years ago.
and I'm on his side.

seems to be moddle coddled every year as if he has soft tissue injuries every game.
if he cant perform in this year or at least 2016 time to go...
at least hes young enough to get something for.
beau waters should have been let go 2-3 years ago as much as he was loved at the club.

Yes likeable bloke who because of his uniqueness and athletic style has been put in the spotlight unfairly for sure. Having played much sport over the years, i found some blokes would never have a clue where or when to run ever, despite being gifted in other areas of the game. ( he aint alone in that by the way).

That would have been in 2008. Where is the progress and development. I most assuredly would love to have him back in a Swan Districts' team. What I am specifically questioning is the quality of the coaching he has had in his time at West Coast.

I can't believe everyone is actually on the same page as me now.
I have put this up on numerous threads on here and got smashed by a lot of people. Nic Nat as I've always said, should never have been all Australian, abd yes he maybe an athlete but he will never be a great footballer as he has no idea of around ground situations. If he is the Eagles NO 1 ruckman they will be going know where.

Once again, I did state this a few years back, what has changed everyone's mood on him.
You could see it from the start and he hasn't got any better

I find it fascinating and possibly a bit bizarre how some people seem to focus on this guy as if he is the only high draft pick in history to not live up to expectations.
It is difficult to predict whether a player will be a star or not when they are drafted. You just have to look at the same year Natanui was drafted, the number 1 pick was Jack Watts who has turned out to be a very average player, yet Nat Fyfe was drafted with the number 20 pick in 2009. Very hard to pick potential in guys at 18.....
There just seems to be a real over focus on Natanui as if somehow he was supposed to be something special because of his athletic ability. Maybe he will get there one day or maybe he will just be a plodder who knows but why not focus also on guys like Masten and Sheppard who were also high draft picks and havent performed to expectations to date. They just seem to go under the radar but when it comes to Nic its seems that everybody has a strong opinion.
