With Ablett out for what seems to be a lengthy time, it opens up the brownlow race a bit more. So who do you guys think might win it? Pendles? Kennedy? Gablett still?

Disagree with you on the Lake / Petrie incident AM. Yea they had a bit of a wrestle but who cares. No harm was done, they didnt punch each other. Boys will be boys.

BS these forwards do as much hanging on as the backman but its never highlighted because its just a "backman",the forwards generally get away with it.

Buddy did as much arm wrapping, arm holding and jumper pulling as McKenzie!

On second thoughts, I think Lake should be suspended. Not Petrie though. Petrie didnt seem to do too much, but Lakes strangle hold was pretty bad.

A very nice ground, good viewing from all round the ground. The supporters are a bit of a different, seems that the Suns are really their second team. Most that I sat around were followers from other Victorian clubs.Seemed to take a bit of cajoling from the big screen to actually get them excited enough to barrack.
But have to say it was an exciting game. The Suns did well to repel the Pies in the last 1/4 being down to a one man bench.
An interesting experience to say the least.
I watched the Hawks V Roos and think that both Lake and Petrie will do time.I think that Petrie was the instigator of the whole incident. He appeared to try to eye gouge Lake and Lake responded with his choker hold.It also appeared to me that Petrie continued to try to rake Lakes eyes. Both to do time I reckon.

Tell me where Petrie eye gouges to start it, if this footage is from start (midway through video) he has a closed hand, cannot eye gouge with closed fingers, more like he was trying to get that lunatic off him, as anyone would. If he eye gouged later when in a choke hold, then fair enough

Personally, if someone had me down like that and was strangling me, I'd go for his eyes, ears, nuts or anything else that would get him off me.

BT: In Drew Petrie's situation, he's entitled to do anything to free himself without consequence. Eye gouge, one in the knackers, whatever

I would have fair dinkum smacked Lake right in the jaw and fuck the consequences. In fact i reckon if he did he would have had a pretty good defense that he felt his life was being threatened and had every right to do what ever it took to get this mug off him.

agree DD..it was a bit like Juddy a couple of years ago when he got that poor pri8k by the jugular at the bottom of the pack then later on when he gave someone else a chicken wing...dunno what these guys are thinking at times...but I reckon they leave themselves open for a free whack. can you imagine Lake doing that to Barry Hall? jeez they'd be carnage.

Petrie had the right to do whatever it took.
That image was a disgrace.
