What a great interview.

One of very few characters of the game that brought controversy on & off the field. Loved his book as well...Big Bad Mal.

Yep enjoyed the big fella - and shit he's getting bigger but very good to watch and calls a spade a spade like he always has.

I thought it was a touch disappointing to be honest and barely scratched the surface of Brownie's extraordinary career in footy.
All Vic centric Sheahan wanted to talk about was Mal's 14 VFL games!!
After all he did play in a WAFL Premiership in 72 and coached a couple as well 72,80.
Mind bogglingly also no mention of any of the following infamous WAFL incidents over the years-
-When he sent Colreavy back onto the ground that proceeded the actual interchange rule.
-The coaching suspension he used a cherry picker to address his troops at the breaks.
-The Farmer brothers/umpire clash and bringing the Perth Reserves off the ground.
-The same game when the 7 reporter came up to get an interview from him as he was heading back to the coaches box at Lathlain and Brownie grabbing his microphone from his hand breaking it in half and throwing it in the bin.
-Losing the bet with John Todd and having to walk down the Hay St Mall in a leopard print bikini.
-The infamous qtr time air swing at Damian Condon in the 92 WAFL GF.
-His great work with indigenous players over the years including the Krakouer's, Winmar, Vigona, Michael, Campbell, Rioli's, Roe, Matera, Ryder, Dick et al.

Sheahan could have done a bit of research to have found some of the above stories and given them at least 5 minutes in the 30 minute show but alas lets just talk about his 1 year at Richmond, the Windy Hill Brawl, his son Campbell & his tirade with the female Vic journo earlier this year

I agree with Beasley Hutton .
I too love Browny and miss everything about what he was for WA football. The interview left me flat and I was expecting more from Sheehan. I enjoy all his OpenMike interviews, he does a fabulous job. But I got more out of Beasley Huttons post than Sheehans interview.
