We all have our opinions on where Aussie Rules is heading. But at the risk of being called a silly old C..Codger, the rule makers have to dumb the game down to where it was years ago. If, as someone previously stated that people have a look, then find the rules too difficult to understand and walk away from the game, then fix it...not real hard to comprehend!

Well the clear trend continues,, the AFL is dieing..

Just 40,000 at the traditional blockbuster blues v pies, lowest ever crowd since 1921,,,can you beleive that..???

Agree 100% Bazza. The "spin doctors" will come up with some irrelevant fact like the crowds are up overall (purely down to 50,000 a week going to the new adelaidae gorund).
They have treated fans in Vic with distain whilst pandering to nsw and qld, people will only take so much. Also until they get some handle on the ridiculous interprettions of rules, it will only continue to frustrate

I've noticed more spark in interest in the VFL comp in the past 12 months out of Victoria.

The wife has SEN on in the spare room via internet feed. Always manage to hear their callers ringing about how they are going for a VFL side, and taking the kids because it is cheaper and family friendlier.

Fans dont like Sunday night footy!
If that same game was played on a Friday night or Saturday arvo it would have attracted twice as many fans.

Sunday and Monday night footy is crap and the fans are voting that way by not turning up on those particular nights.

Dead right mate, all sorts of excuses coming from AFL House, message is loud and clear now,, they cant hide the truth much longer - people voting with their feet and staying away!

Lowest crowd since 1921....jeez,that is a shocker - no excuse can every make up for that!

I dont know why there wasnt more Collingwood supporters there though, its not like they have jobs to go to on Monday morning.
