That will depend on who initiates the contact & if damage is done & if it could of been avoided.

The sport is rough, it is what people want. Therefore the industry should factor in the cost of the court cases. It is a minority, don't fk it up for the majority.

I was listening to 91.3 footy show with Scott Cummings and another person. It was suggested that if 2 players from the same club clashed and 1 ended up with a broken jaw, that his team mate could be suspended under the current laws. I thought 'crap' at first, but with the craziness of the new laws, it could well happen. It seems the head is sacrosanct at whatever cost to common sense.

Ahhh it IS scarosanct WHEN they want it to be,depends on the player and the team charged. YES i do believe this!! We all know of cases where players from our team have got away with one OR slammed for an innocous one. Thats what physses fans off.

If they both go in for the bump and accidentally clash heads?
Theoretically ALL incidents can be avoided but that would mean one player would have to stand back and watch.
That is what the game is becoming.

Thank fuck Viney got off. Hopefully this is a turning point for the MRP and tribunal.

Unbelievably good news.
I wonder what reasoning will be said as the Appeals Board needs to explain to the Tribunial what was their obvious mistake.

Exactly what I mean. Pinch the likes of Collingwood, Hawthorn and Geelong from under the AFL's noses  Create a Super League, and destroy it once and for all. Then things might get back to normal.[/quote]
Would be the way to go. Four teams in Victoria + two each other state. Play each other twice. Notice Lions now bankrupt after overpaying their team for last ten years. New Comp could make players wear helmets, padding plus elbow & shin guards. No review & limit interchanges to ten per qtr. We had none & only two on the bench. We played entertaining footy. Its now a corporate sport.

As to the other stuff that is trying to poach this subject. It will never happen.A bit like TFAF tries to get up.It is all Pie in the sky stuff and will never happen.

Who gob smacked you, they should get 3 weeks, 2 with an early guilty plea
