He will be Vic centric for sure.

Less teams in Melbourne and he gets a pass mark from me.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Slightly off topic here but did notice Gill say that to the best of his understanding ASADA should be out with findings in late May or mid June, something like that. I just find it amazing that not only have 4 of the 7 ASADA investigation committee jumped ship but so has the AFL's outgoing CEO right before these findings will be made public. Call me a cynic but surely that's no coincidence.

When I heard he was to replace the fatman, I was concerned that we would have a clone of the greek emporer. After listening to Lachy's speech, I was pleasantly surprised - and yes, I realize it's only his first speech as 'the boss'. One of his goals is a 'truly national competition'. Hope he goes for it, but if the focus on Victoria eases and goes more on the 'interstate' clubs, you can bet he'll get a hell of a lot of pressure from the people of 'the home of footy'. He is also concerned about people going to the game, so things like the cost of a bag of chips or bottle of water may come under the spotlight. People like MO really don't understand the importance of this for some people, but the survey showed it is. Lachy could be very good for our game, but I guess runs on the board will measure how good he is. I'm looking forward to see how he goes. Surely he's got to be better than the fatman??

So spending a gazillion on Karmichael Hunt That izzy bloke from Gws, and helping get Alblett up to Qld scully to GW plus a 765 first round picks for these INTERSTATE clubs is "focussed" on Victoria is it 58?. Cost of living to the swans, etc etc, helps Vic clubs how exactly??

I think the boy might be ok.
-State league issues must be addressed.
-The staleness of games a festering problem.
-Facing realities of 15-17 year olds dropping off
and stop sugar coating it with stats. It's real.
-Make start of season later, it's too hot mid March.
-Relocate a team to Tasmania permanently
like South Melbourne did going to Sydney.
-Fixture all top 8 clubs to play each other twice.
and all bottom 10 clubs to play each other twice.
-Re open a suburban ground in Melbourne to give
lower income earners a chance to watch AFL
every week if they desire.
- Demand new Burswood Stadium allow 5,000
general public seats available every week.

Then maybe worry about hot chips.

MO & Jars are dead right there are far more pressing and serious issues & matters ahead for our great national game of footy for this new VFL CEO than the bloody price of hot chips FFS!
