I don't know if anyone has read the Sunday times but I totally agree with langdons article today. Yes nic nat has potential but until he starts showing consistently then I think the eagles will be just waivering between 7th and 12th. Thoughts??

Is that article from the same "quality" fish and chip wrapper that had a photo of Matt Orzel & Laine Wilkins grappling for the footy from the Cl vs FART game yesterday and had a caption with the names appearing as Lawrence Evans (who???) and Paul Bower (who left Peel in 2013) and had no match reports from either the SD vs WP or the EF vs SF games from the weekend!

re: names appearing as Lawrence Evans.

Was not even playing that day. Did not appear in the League or the Reserves.
And having no match reports is no surprise at all from a sub standard so called newspaper that's based in the eastern states!

Lawn Bowls gets more accurate reporting . That is pure incompetence of the highest order, but hardly surprising.

Naitanui is a potential talent, that's it. Until he does otherwise then maybe the WA newspapers and the Channel 7 corporation can stop embarrassing themselves over him. I think he is a good player and a good fellow. But how he got an All Australian is just ridiculous. One day he may prove the hype justifiable . But the media are seduced by him based on his background & dreadlocks . None of this is Naitanui's fault of course.

Makai Daw has similar hype based on nothing. It's all about their background and it is wrong .

The focus on this subject should lay at the feet of the media , whom are solely to blame. Credibility was once prerequisite of the media. That once strong theory died along time ago. Quality like Geoff Christian , now replaced with the likes of Barich, Zempalis & Co, who pander to the new breed of uneducated masses who follow this sport now, put football in a whole new level. And it's not a high one.

Onviously he is playing injured and that has had a negative impact on his form. Speaking of ruckmen, and I use the term loosely when it comes to Cox; if Cox is so good why is the form of NicNat so important with respect to the fortunes of the Eagles?

I agree it was a great article, best I have read for ages on the topic, at least he is not a sycophant.

As langdon said , he still cant read the play, I said this years ago and nothing is changing. there are plenty making excuses for him saying he will get better with age. It takes big men longer to mature et al etc etc...personally I reckon he should be exerting some dominance now,

the All Australian was a joke.

You just cant help yourself when it comes to Cox.
Your lack of football knowledge shines through once again.
If Cox isnt a ruckman what is he??...and dont give us this BS hes a ruck rover, the fact that he excelled below his knees and covered lots of ground during a game just highlighted what a great ruckman he has been!!
Yes like all footballers that get older his best footy is behind him.

So you dont think the form of Zac Clark is important if Sandilands is doing a good job, win, lose or draw??

Picking on Cox is ridiculous, He is pretty old now, reckon this will be his bow out year, next year could be a bridge too far, WCE will be in some strife then.
