They weren't good enough on the day to win their respective games. Tough! Might as well have said the other 9 teams that missed out would have all liked to play in the finals as well.

Where did you hear that Anchorman?
94500 at the Tiges/ Blues would've filled some coffers.
Although if the Tigers played into the next round there would have been another 90k.

he said it on a radio interview that the AFL would miss out on a 7 digit sum of money with those 2 teams gone.
