It appears that cheque book recruiting has reared its ugly head again.
Remembering that this is what drove the VFL almost to extinction.
But the AFL don't appear to be worried about it.
So much big money being offered for long term contracts.
Coaches contacting already tied players.But the AFL don't seem worried.
If it is right, and it appears so, then Sam Mitchell has contacted Oscar Allen, Eagles Co captain, about moving to Hawthorn. An act like this could destroy any confidence that the Eagles have about Allen.It could have  a dividing affect on the club.
But this does not seem to be the only , if you like, clandestine , contact that has occured.
