Have the critics once again over rated the Carlton Blues?
A very disappointing result from them last night. Forty one points up and blew it. against a team of very young payers  from Richmond.
I think that Carlton have more than one or two over rated players that get the wind blown up their Rses. They rely on too few to motivate them.
Cripps is without doubt their barometer, but even ha can't carry them all year.DeKoning is a gun,.Weitering is outstanding and Saad a consistent player.
When thepressurewent on from the Tigers, they folded likea pack of cards.

I turned it off late in the second qtr.
The score was Carlton 7-7 vs Richmond 1-1.
Got a shock when i tuned in for the last 15 ,minutes.
Well done Adam Yze and his young tigers side.

I did the same gtr and had to wind it back to the start of the 3rd quarter.  I don’t mind watching Carlton getting flogged.  The young Tigers were quite entertaining.
2x25= Seinor and Michael = 1xBrian Peake

58 hope Richmond stick with Yze.
The young Tigers list will get mid to late season burnout.

C'mon HL&S name and shame them - as a Carlton supporter you have made me curious.

I think Carlton's performance on Thursday night has been the worst of any side so far in RD 1 - even worse than the Dockers and Port Adelaide yesterday. It seemed to be a question of how far the Blues when they went 7 goals up mid way through the 2nd term. At this point Yze made a simple but smart decision to get numbers into their back half to hopefully halt a blow out. It worked wonders partly because Carlton under Voss are a dumb side. They couldn't cope with Richmond clogging up their D50 and things unraveled pretty quickly. Time and time again they bombed it long into their forward 50 and time and time again Richmond were able to deal with it easily. Not only was it predictable but many times it was the smallest player on the field that Carlton thought made a good target going forward.

On top of this, Carlton's skills were substandard and they put together quite a bloopers reel. Voss once again showed he is incapable of making any changes during a game. He is about as effective as I am watching it from home on TV. De Koning can't ruck the entire match and when it came time to give him a breather, Voss put Cripps into the ruck rather than big Harry McKay who had doing sweet FA up forward. Silvangi and McGovern (the later had a mare of a night) could have been moved forward and Kemp could have been moved back. Silvangi eventually did find himself forward but the move should have been sooner.

Credit to Richmond though and they thoroughly deserved their win.

Cerra and McKay for starters.
I just think they are over rated.
I agree rucking Cripps was or is criminal.
Far too valuable to be used as a battering ram.

Big Harry was pretty ordinary on the night. Cerra was named on the AFL website as among our best in the defeat. Though that exercise would have been similar to stating which turd smells better than others. I think Cripps and Weitering can hold their heads high not sure of any others though, maybe De Koning too. Hawks you would think will go 3 and 0 on Thursday night.

Bemused by the fact that anyone could have had Cerra among the best. But with the performance from Carlton, I guess it was hard to find six.
I thought and think Saad is a very handy player and performs all the time.
Maybe I am just not a Carlton lover.
