What a great 4 games of football we have had this weekend, particularly the match ups today.
All of the games were fiercely contested and the result in all four finals was in doubt till late in the last quarter.
The Eagles v Collingwood game was a fantastic game of footy. The Magpies seemed to hit the first quarter a lot harder and the Eagles were playing catch up footy for most of the night. When it came down to the last centre bouncedown of the evening with about a minute left, West Coast had a chance to snatch a victory that they probably didnt deserve and the Maggies just wanted it that little bit more. The Eagles had a number of passengers and relied on too few but how good is Liam Ryan, to me he stood out above everyone else and it was no fault of his that his team didnt get the result.
I think the Magpies may struggle to back up against Geelong next week and West Coast have decisions to make in the off season about some of their veteran players.
