Wait till Naitanui has finished his career then try and make a comparison,Naitanui is just starting out.
Michael was a champion no doubt about that and i dont think Nic has earnt the right in his short career to be labelled that!

At this stage , I put SM well ahead of NN.

But SM grew up with the game so had an advantage, at the same age of NN , SM was dominating games and making a massive impact.

That is not to say NN will not come to that level or even surpass it.

Different players in different eras but would have to say that Nic has a fair way still to go to become as good a player as Stephen was, but is probably more exciting in what he could be however with the game the way it is now will never be as frightening as he was !!!

As I said in another post, you cannot fairly compare players from different eras. However, if you do, I'm with 30pyd - you have to wait till the end of his career.
