When I first opened the search for tickets bang on 2pm yesterday there was either behind the goals seats or nose bleed section but once I changed my search from 2 to 1 seat there were platinum seats available on level 1 around the centre of the ground. I was able to snap up one of those.

It was my first time at Optus Stadium on Saturday and I was about 4 or 5 rows from the back of the top tier and I was happy I took my binoculars. I used them a lot. Having said that I was super impressed with the giant screens at either end of the ground. It's basically like watching the game at home without the commentary but you are there. And on the lower levels there are small screens everywhere. Got to say I was impressed but even though the seats are very comfortable I thought the distance between each row was no different to Subi. You basically have to stand up or swivel 180 to let people pass. Not sure if that is just unique to the top tier because the pitch is very accute. I'll be curious to see if the space between rows is greater on level one.

The choice of food and beverage is absolutely brilliant and the room on the concourse behind the seats is fantastic and the ability to lookout from the stadium and see the Swan River or the city is just brilliant.

I did something similar DD. I started searching at 2pm for 3 seats and it kept on throwing up level 1. I rejected those seats about half a dozen times over 5 minutes then it came back with level 2 seats just off centre in section 214. I snapped them up as they will give a good view across the pitch and should be able to take in both ends of the park. Another big bonus is the bus travel included. I live in Attadale so can park at Legends Bar just off Canning Hwy and get the events bus to and from the stadium then have a few celebratory/"commiseratory" beers afterwards...brilliant!!

Choo choo train for me BC. Just checked myself and only back rows on the top deck or front row behind the goals available so must be getting close to being a sellout.

I just had a look online and it appears there's the last 6 or 8 rows of seats left on level 5 on the north and south sides only. It probably won't be a total sellout but will come pretty close.

The media will probably start giving away free tickets on the weekend BC and if it was up to me I would put the remaining tickets up for $20 on Sunday to make it a full house. What a, sight that will be and hopefully help the Glory get over the line.

Just having a look online it appears there's a couple of private boxes on the south side that haven't sold and the tickets have been opened up to the public. Prime viewing spots for $135 each seat...if I hadn't already bought mine I'd jump at it.

A tough way to lose a GF in a penalty shootout after being 0-0 at full time and after extra time.
But gee that Santalab penalty kick was as weak as water to be the ultimate decider.

Called a Panenka kick BH, absolutely ridiculous to do it when your behind in GF penalty shootout. 2 points from me Keogh should have started. And the ground was atrocious and stopped Castro and Kilkenny from playing properly.

Tough on Glory to lose like that but once it gets to penalties its a bit of a lottery. Having said that it was a poor penalty by Keogh and WTF was Santalab thinking?? I thought Castro should have been up early. I was surprised to see the Sydney FC goal keeper jumping all around like a gorilla while the players were trying to take their penalty shot, didnt think they were allowed to do that. Sydney were probably deprived of a legitimate goal with that VAR decision so maybe it was justice anyway.
Fantastic crowd of 56k+ . Unfortunately the game didnt live up to the atmosphere.

I know they go through it cos Aussies love finals but I really think players and those involved value premiers plate much much highetr than gf win.
