Well here we are with another week in the season as we creep closer to the end, and closer to a well earned weekend off, especially for MrM (DrM for you loyalists) as on this weary early morning commute back into heat of battle, MrM is dreaming of a week off. As we get closer however the ladder gets exciting and it can be anyone’s anytime, so who knows which way the cards will fall, time will tell.

Off the field. MrM cannot be the only sleep deprived person as the evening sports captivates the nation. This is truly a glorious time of the year in the evening, with football (all codes), cricket, tennis, cycling all on our television screens. Staying up till the wee hours of the morning is not for everyone, but MrM is committed, (or should be committed) in doing so. There is something for everyone, however if sport on the tv is not for you, you can read MrM weekly thoughts.

Alright, let us appease the followers and look into this weekend.

West Coast v University @City Beach Oval

The ole “periphery of the GT” Derby is here upon us, and what a good contest we have on offer. West Coast have registered a win now, and much improved performances, however the 123 Uni boys are we, raring to go in this game. A win for the Uni boys will see them consolidate in the top 3 a loss and they could slip all the way to Fifth. Uni to get the win here.

Kingsway v Scarborough @Kingsway Reserve

Another big game here. Kingsway were very slick for a half last weekend, the second half, they did enough to get the win, but will be more than confident this weekend as they face a Scarborough side fresh off a win themselves. It will be a fascinating game and one both sides may feel they can win. At home though, the balcony in full swung (mind you, have heard they faced some sanctions last home game v the beach boys) they will get it done.

Mount Lawley v Curtin University Wesley @Inglewood Oval

This game isn’t as big as the first two. However the Beaufort Boys have done more than enough this season to save themselves for another it seems, however will not want to get ahead of the themselves. Whereas Curtin Uni will know a good win could see themselves jump up to third on the ladder, it will be a good contest, even if the PFL podcast doesn’t think much of the oval. Curtin Uni to be too good here.

Trinity Aquinas v North Beach @Bill Grayden Reserve

The big bad TA’s boys are back at home and will know a big win here and they will earn themselves a nice weekend off, a loss and they could lose their mantle as the team to beat. North Beach however are fresh off a surprising win for some, last weekend yet showed they can still trouble teams in finals if they can make it. You can’t count out the TA’s boys at home though.

Fremantle C.B.C v Wanneroo @Morris Buzacott Reserve

Well CBC let one slip last weekend as they failed to get the job done against North Beach, and will be ruing that as a missed opportunity after a slow start. Meanwhile Wanneroo would be feeling much the same, a slow start cost them in their ga,e last weekend. It’s a big game for both sides, with both needing a win, and after losing one they would have expected to win last weekend, they will rebound this weekend for mine.

Good luck this weekend all.

Haha Mr M the time difference from where you are must be interfering with your communication skills. Hardly any sanctions on the Kingsway Balcony for the faithful just a few North Beach supporters who went home with the tail between their legs after politely being shown the door. Also it may be time to get the Scoreboard at the Showgrounds serviced mate especially the time clock that allows quarters to go over by over a minute!!
