We are now in the back half of the season and this is where many a side will make their move and strike before they reach the home stretch. Well MrM has some news for you, do not get ahead of yourselves, as we still have plenty of the season to go and anything can happen in these next few weeks. Some have requested MrM do a ladder predictor, however this does not interest MrM, one week at a time is an old football cliche, and MrM can see no reason to steer away from this.
Off the field, MrM (DrM for those who need a reminder) has received some very forthright feedback in regards to banishing teams, who either set up on the eastern banks, or change rooms not close to the bench, and that forthright feedback has been strongly in favour of MrM comments, several clubs to be outlawed by seasons end of DrM gets his way. If you disagree, join in sliding into MrM messages and get talking, MrM needs to occupy his time.
Alright, let us look at this weekend.
Trinity Aquinas v Fremantle C.B.C @Bill Grayden Reserve
A big clash here in which the winner will set themselves up for the back half of the season and give them some breathing room in the top 2. Could this be a Grand Final preview? We all know it is too early to be talking like that. TA’s are probably the biggest team in the competition, but CBC are starting to get things going for them once again. It’s going to be a very good game, and cannot wait to see the outcome, MrM will tell you what it will be though and that’s the TA boys at home.

North Beach v West Coast @Charles Riley Reserve
The battle of the beaches here and who knew that tigers were so prominent around beaches? North Beach scraped one last weekend against their other Beach rivals and will be hoping back at home, this weekend they can jump start their season. Meanwhile West Coast, Kane Cornes cannot stop talking about them but it’s definitely been a tough ole season, cannot see it getting better here.

Curtin University Wesley v Scarborough @South Oval
The Curtin Uni boys flexed their muscle last weekend to show they cannot be counted out in season 2023. A win this weekend will go a long way to ensuring they keep touch with the top of the ladder. Scarborough will be kicking themselves after losing last weekend, especially after leading. They will need to win a few more games this season, however it will not be this weekend.

Mount Lawley v Kingsway @Inglewood Oval
A big game for both these two sides here. Mount Lawley will feel as though they could bear Kingsway if all goes well, and at home, what better place to do it and set up their back half of the season, whereas Kingsway will know a win is all they need to keep in touch with the top 3 on the ladder and may even be top f the ladder come the weeks end. Will be a fascinating game, Kingsway on current form, very hard to go past.

Wanneroo v University @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Wanneroo will be looking for a better showing in the second half of the season and what better way to do it then back at home on a big day against a side, who is there or thereabouts most seasons. The Uni gents are looking good once again and given uni break is fast approaching they may lose a few, they may not, but still expect them to deliver. Will be a tighter game than perhaps ladder position suggests. At home, Wanneroo to win.

Good luck to all playing.
