Who can believe it is Round 8 and also who can believe we are playing on the long weekend, Mr M can! We have 5 big games of football, and even one on tonight. Nighttime football probably best at Bill Grayden, that what if you want to watch, you are not staring straight into the sun. In fact, all grounds that have their bench and main set up on the east banks, should be outlawed and banished from the ye ole Perth Football League. To the hierarchy that read this post, please make it happen.
Off the field, well its fair to say MrM (DrM for you heathens at home) faces his fair share of criticism, however one pundit suggesting he does not like MrM’s tipping really tops the cake for mine. However, given MrM is the oracle of A Grade football, or even all Grades in the PFL MrM is going to take this onboard and reflect upon his tipping methods for all future games. As MrM says, don’t be bitter, be better.
Alright let us look at this weekend.
Trinity Aquinas v Kingsway @Bill Grayden Reserve
It must be very nice for these two clubs’ players to have the ability to leave work early on a Friday, before a long weekend to be able to get down and play football. Unfortunately, MrM does not have such luxuries, however a massive top of the table clash here. TA’s have been flying along and beating all before them as many thought they may, whereas Kingsway have been doing the same against all odds. It will be a fascinating game for all. Can see TA’s being to big and strong for Kingsway though.

Wanneroo v Scarborough @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Possibly the second biggest A Grade game this weekend and there is a lot to play for. Wanneroo put up a solid effort last weekend, however fell short in a game that was there for the taking, meanwhile Scarborough did the exact same thing, getting close, yet falling short. This weekend both clubs are desperate to win and will be a fascinating contest down at Wanneroo Showgrounds. The head says one thing, the heart says the exact same, Wanneroo at home too good.

North Beach v University @Charles Riley Reserve
When they weren’t hard checking blokes behind play, or throwing elbows out on the way to contests, The Flora Terrace Beach boys displayed some signs last weekend to show they cannot be discounted this season. This weekend however they face a University side who is coming off two losses in a row and will not want to make that three on the trot. Another close game it seems, but at home North Beach too good.

Fremantle C.B.C v Curtin University Wesley @Morris Buzacott Reserve
CBC had a mini scare last weekend against the winless West Coast, but still managed a win and will need to be right on their game in this contest in the Grand Final rematch. Whereas Curtin Uni are coming off a disappointing loss last weekend and will want to make amends this weekend. A big match in context of the season and also the winner may even jump into second spot on the ladder. I think CBC at home to get the win.

Mount Lawley v West Coast @Ingelwood Oval
The Beaufort Bandits are starting to find their feet in A Grade and will know this weekend presents a wonderful chance to keep that ball rolling along. However West Coast had a Sandover Medalist roll out for them last weekend and if plays again will cause some issues for certain. I think Lawley too strong, but you never know...

There you have it, MrM bold predictions, every home side winning. Good luck all.
