Back again for another week of A Grade football and the competition is getting nice and close amongst the top end and who knows what will happen down the bottom, but still plenty of the season to play out for all involved. On field MrM has heard some whispers from clubs saying the A Grade competition is “lacking quality”, however MrM disagrees, the quality is high, its just evenly spread, so you better come to play, or chances are you will not win.
Off the field, MrM (DrM away from football) is willing to explore far and wide to get his news sources as you all know and after hearing rumours MrM is shocked. MrM wants to know one thing, are Thursday Night Dinners a thing of the past? Clubs do not do this every Thursday. MrM is aghast at the wild speculation, and now some clubs offering pre booked meals? No way no how this should happen. If you are struggling, get down and see Galati, who is practically throwing away potatoes, cut them up, fry or oven them, and serve with some fish or beef or chicken, it is quite simple really. Be better clubs.
Alright, let us look at this weekend fixtures.
Trinity Aquinas v University @Bill Grayden Reserve
This will be a very good game this weekend with both sides looking good so far in 2023. TA boys look up and firing and back at home they will be hoping for another strong showing, however Uni have surprised a few this season and want to let them have it easy. Am almost certain TA’s will don the blue jumper this weekend, like their bizarre decision to wear black against another club with a black strip. Bizarre decisions aside, they should still win.

Kingsway v Curtin University Wesley @Kingsway Reserve
Kingsway have been the surprise of the season so far but face some tough challenges in coming weeks. This will definitely be a harder matchup than last weekend, but they are a chance. Whereas Curtin Uni, are they starting to fire now and ready to take down the conquering Kingsway? I think Yes.
Curtin University Wesley by 3 goals
North Beach v Wanneroo @Charles Riley Reserve The boys at the beach are stuttering after some early season form and will be thinking this is the weekend they can get back on track. At home and against a sider they should feel comfortable against, what could go wrong. Wanneroo however are looking to bounce back after their recent losses and cannot be counted out. Very hard to see the losing form continuing, so MrM is going with what he knows.
Wanneroo by 2 goals
Fremantle C.B.C v West Coast @Morris Buzzacott Reserve
MrM is sad that the 6’’6 colossus, hasn’t returned to CBC yet, but still time in the season. The CBC gents are looking to get right back to where they were last season and are in a very strong position to do so. West Coats on the other hand, trouble at board level, back headlines of the paper, who knows what is happening. MrM knows CBC will win this weekend though.
Fremantle C.B.C by 5 goals
Mount Lawley v Scarborough @Inglewood Oval
After witnessing one half of the brothers of destruction in action last weekend, MrM has one suggestion kick it long to him and let him go to work, and also, give it away son. Other than that, they looked ok, and should be ready for a battle of the worlds biggest oval here. Scarborough on the other hand are not looking wonderful, but will know this is a big opportunity for a win. MrM is going with the Beaufort boys though.
Mount Lawley by 2 goals
Have fun this weekend all.
