Another exciting weekend of football upon us. Last weekend was a good taste of winter, and this weekend looks a little calmer so we can all rejoice. The top 6 on the ladder is looking closely and a gap is begging to emerge with the bottom half of the ladder, however every side is capable on any given day.
After the big announcement during the week, MrM can hear the fans calling “Oh take me back to the start” and wl know MrM has been right here from the start and will bring it too you each week, it keeps the daily commute in check and MrM (DrM) knows that the viewers still love it. Whether you're “The sky full of stars” or just passing time reading “Clocks” there is fun for everyone.
Alright enough of MrM, let us look into this weekend.
Kingsway v University @Kingsway Reserve
Well, it was a weekend for the kings last weekend and what a way to show it (surprised they did not go with this on social media) they managed a win and now sit inside the top5 after, it will a tough task this weekend though as they face top of the ladder. Uni are banking those early wins before their students go off to Lake Como for a winter (summer) holiday. Will be a good game, but Uni to get it done.

Fremantle C.B.C v Scarborough @Morris Buzacott Reserve
It is always good to see when you can roll out players fresh out of the AFL system in for a game, CBC seem to do that very well and it is good to see, especially 6’6 colossus rolling through. We digress though. CBC still looked good and they face Scarborough who desperately need a win this weekend. It will be a good battle of the yellow and green jumpers here, but ultimately CBC will be too good.

Trinity Aquinas v Wanneroo @Bill Grayden Reserve
Well, aren’t the TA’s boys looking good so far in 2023 and MrM is not just talking about the Darlot Cup results this summer. Ta’s are flying and coming off a very strong win last weekend are looking like one of the teams to beat. Wanneroo took it right up to CBC last weekend and will probably lament the fact they let it slip. Ladies Day at Bill Grayden (good to see the ground bounce back after being decommissioned) will be a big one, could we see a boilover on the big day? Unlike one would say.

Mount Lawley v North Beach @Inglewood Oval
The Beufort Bandits are still searching for their first win this season and while they have been competitive so far this season, this weekend it does not come much harder than facing a wounded tiger. North Beach, while the nuffies are paying out on coaches, being demolished at home is not like the Twistie Tigers. MrM is thinking be afraid though, as the wounded tiger will fight back and take a win here.

West Coast v Curtin University Wesley @City Beach Oval
What is happening at West Coast, injuries, fan unrest and now they want to bring the banner back instead of the inflatable eagle, it is in turmoil. MrM may jest, however things do not get easier for West Coast this weekend as they are up against a Curtin Uni side wanting to win. Curtin Uni, know a big win could propel them up the ladder with a percentage boost. While the focus will be on 4 points, surely that comes into calculations.

Have fun this weekend all
