Welcome back to another week of A Grade football fun and MrM is getting a little excited at the prosect of the season now being in full swing, and although MrM sits here talking to himself along the way, much to the confusion of other commuters, you can be sure that MrM is going to be delivering the new week in and week out. MrM hears and sees all, especially if you’re out and about at your favourite watering hole, MrM can pop out of nowhere and you wont even notice, just so he can bring you all the best of the A Grade news.

Off the field, unfortunately just after MrM said he will be across al things A Grade football, MrM is actually missing this week, so he can settle in and watch the Coronation on the national broadcaster. If you are not choosing to head to some amateur games across the weekend, may I suggest you sit down and tune in much like MrM.

Let us look into this weekend.

University v West Coast @UWA Sports Park

A little bit of a derby here, as both clubs live on the outskirts of the GT desperately wanting the recognition of living inside the Triangle. Uni have had a good start to the season so far continuing on from their form last season. Meanwhile West coast have fallen off dramatically since last season and looking at results through the grades it will be a tough task to kickstart this weekend. Thinking it’s the 123 Uni boys are we this weekend.

Wanneroo v Fremantle C.B.C @Wanneroo Showgrounds

The battle of the Premiers from last season, B v A.  Wanneroo let one get away last weekend and back at home they will be looking to rectify last weeks result. Meanwhile CBC are looking good, but are another side coming off a loss and away form home it will be a tough task. A good match up, but Wanneroo at home will get it done.

North Beach v Trinity Aquinas @Charles Riley Reserve

Playing at the Charles, something about that for North Beach this weekend MrM feels. North Beach, the team  is currently firing on all cylinders and looking the team too beat, (unsure about the throwaway line on the PFL Podcast calling them the biggest junior club in WA, one would not think so but we digress). You cannot count out TA’s though who seem to be going along quite fine themselves, with a good battle of the big forwards coming on Saturday. North Beach at home, paying respect to Charles, will get a win.

Scarborough v Kingsway @Millington Oval

The Scarborough boys would have hoped to have started the season better in 2023, but they get a good chance this weekend to square the ledger. They come up against Kingsway who had a good win last weekend and should be quite a good game at Millington Saturday. Will definitely be a fascinating game but can see Scarborough getting their season back on track with a win.

Curtin University Wesley v Mount Lawley @South Oval

The Curtin Uni boys won the battle of the schools last weekend and are looking to go one better than they did last season, albeit with a slightly different team, but are still looking as a force once again. Meanwhile, Mount Lawley as yet to register a win but have been very close in the games they have played. It wont come easy for both sides this weekend, but can see Curtin Uni being too good.
