We are back again for another week of exciting football, and we cannot wait for another week and the weather Gods seem to have blessed us with some fabulous weather as well. We saw some indications last week, this is going to be a close competition, even if there were some upsets.
Off the field, things are looking wonderfully, unless you’re looking up at the eclipse yesterday, then you’re in for some trouble, but we digress and should get into the real topics and please someone explain to me our Ashes squad, picking 4 openers, truly an odd move.
Let us look into this weekend fixtures.
North Beach v Kingsway @Charles Riley Reserve
A bit of a grudge match here, with the best thing to ever come out of Kingsway, returning back to North Beach after success at Kingsway. Beach had a good win last weekend and at home are a tough task with a big crowd following. Whereas Kingsway had a good win last weekend too, but this match will be a lot harder. Can see North Beach winning.

Curtin University Wesley v Trinity Aquinas @South Oval
The tigers managed to sneak a win last weekend and may be back on track this season to go one better than they did last season. Whereas a strong TA’s side full of talent could not get it done against a very good side last weekend. Curtin Uni are looking good, and easy to stay with them.

Wanneroo v West Coast @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Both sides battled last weekend and it looks like a big game here for both sides a good chance for a win. Wanneroo fell away last weekend after a somewhat promising start and West Coast looked like they did the same (Geelong were just too good in the end). It will be a fascinating encounter, but Wanneroo at home, should get it done.

Scarborough v University @Millington Oval
Scarborough hurt MrM when they lost last weekend, especially after MrM tipping them to win. However, at home, you can only expect them to bounce back, although we did say this last week. University played well last weekend, however playing Scarborough on the biggest ground in WA is a different task. I think Scarborough will be too good.

Mount Lawley v Fremantle C.B.C @Inglewood Oval
MrM just said Millington is the biggest ground in WA, this oval would be very close to as well. Mount Lawley were another recently promoted teams to lose last weekend and will want to bounce back, but face CBC who look like they are humming in the early parts of the season. It will be a big task for Lawley to get up but thinking this week will not be the week. CBC to win, plus have to tip them, can’t go with everyone at home…

Have fun all.
