Had a look at Kingsway v Wesley Curtin yesterday. 1st quarter pretty much controlled by Wesley should've been more than it was at quarter time. Big boy at full forward for Wesley proving quite a handful; other end great running goal from Kingsway the highlight.
2nd quarter bit of an arm wrestle for the first half, then Kingsway started getting a bit undisciplined, cost them a goal from an off the ball incident - ball was relayed from deep in Kingsway's 50 to a set shot on goal. Wesley took charge in the middle off the back of a dominant ruckman, kicked 4 or 5 in quick time and went in at the half 5 - 6 goals in front.
Early goal for Kingsway at the start of the 3rd and was all Kingsway for the quarter. They play a pretty exciting brand when they get going; on the flip side Wesley are very slow and methodical when bringing it out of defence, to their detriment I thought in this quarter. Couple of points in it at three quarter time.
Arm wrestle again for the first half of the qaurter before the big Wesley full forward stamped his authority and they had a safe 9 point or so margin. Wesley tried their best to gift Kingsway a goal with an extremely poor turnover at half back, Kingsway missed ther chance to put some pressure on by narrowly missing. Late goal to Wesly sealed the result.
Entertaining game, Kingsway looked to get a few injuries throughout the day, one to their tall defender which could be an issue for them against teams with talls as they were also soundly beaten in the ruck.
