Listening to the few media outlets and other punters on here we are once again already being written off which plays beautifully into our hands. Shane Nelson in a recent interview even made the point that we play our best footy when the underdog or written off. Peel rightly deserve their Premiership fancy tag but its intriguing that EF are now the joint front runners with Claremont and to a lesser extent $ubi. What a lot punters don't know is that we played our best footy for the season for 3 qtrs against a very very good AFL stacked Peel and 1.8 in the 2nd half was the difference unfortunately.

Agree, right off Joondy at your own risk, they have a very good list and arguably the best coach in the comp. Peelmantle have clearly the strongest list by a very long way, if their lords and masters stay fit the WAFL flag is theirs to lose. EF, CL and Joondy are level pegging imho with Su or EP to make up the numbers. 

Playing into our hands!Just got back from my sojourn and WTF!We blow a 39 point lead against Peel,totally inept performance against EP for our biggest loss in 1 and a half seasons,spot a 36 point lead to SF and show some ticker for a quarter to snatch the game and then "better" the EP performance by losing even bigger to a rampant Subi.FMD!Poor old Whinnen said his overseas trip enjoyment might be tempered by our results.On that basis his enjoyment level would be slightly above suicide watch!I've been following the Falcons since the mid 60's.In that time we have won 8 grand finals(including last year).Of the previous 7 we have managed to not make the finals in 4 and in  the other 3 we have been eliminated in the 1st semi(4 team finals in those years.).Looks like the curse is continuing!
OK - deep breath.Having said all that I am not throwing in the towel just yet.Hopefully the boys will regroup this week to show some desire to honour a club legend for his 250th game.After that is a bye which will enable the coaching group and players to basically start a new season.To say the next few weeks are crucial for our season is a huge understatement.Winger where are you - throw me some positivity mate!!
