What a build up this weekend has been and if only MrM has displayed the tackling techniques of ScoMo he may still be running around the track bowling over unsuspecting victims as well. But it has been a very interesting time off the field for many reasons. Who knew that the scoreboard could garner so much attention from social media? If you have not seen, MrM will not waste his precious train time researching the video or photos for you, do that yourself, MrM is far too busy for mundane things like that.
On the field though, things look interesting and we definitely od have 5 very exciting games this weekend. This weather is an interesting one, will it or wont it rain? You can never be too sure. But it sets us up for some excitement either way. MrM heard some funny things reported back to him through the social last week like, Clubs throwing around the ole, “you only won because of your WAFL players!” Very funny MrM thinks, get better material, but also be a better person and don’t use excuses, as MrM says, don’t be bitter, be better.

Alright let us look at this weekend.

Melville v Bullcreek Leeming @Melville Reserve

Is this a rivalry? MrM is very unsure, but let’s create one to drum up some interest for this game otherwise we will have none. Melville will be sniffing a win here, so they can break their duck for the season and add some interest in the relegation battle. Bullcreek, well last seasons’ finalists need a win now more than ever with a loss, pushing them away from the top and closer to the bottom. It will be an exciting affair down Melville way, but MrM thinks Melville to break the duck in 2022.
Melville by 2 goals

Baldivis v Swan Athletic @Baldivis Football Oval

Baldivis are flying in 2022 and are very much looking like a real contender but things will not be coming easy this weekend against a Swan Ath side, who needs a win now, more than ever. Baldivis are playing some good football and are at home, but Swan Ath are desperate for a win and will give themselves every chance. If Swan Ath lose here, and results go against them, it will be a long way back to avoid the drop. Baldivis at home are a force, so hard to go against them.
Baldivis by 4 goals

Ocean Ridge v Wembley @Heathridge Park

MrM was definitely impressed with Onion Ridge last week, with a lot to like about their set up, they were just very unlucky, across all grades, added in there persistence for no clash jumper really paid dividends as they fell back to 3 & 3 with a percentage dent to boot. They face a resurgent Wembley side however who will be out to show everyone you cannot count them out this season and MrM will be on the lookout to see them flying. Onion Ridge do play their ground well, but MrM has a feeling that Wembley will bless them all.
Wembley by 3 goals

Whitford v Mt Lawley @ MacDonald Reserve

This could be game of the round, with these two experienced sides facing up against each other. Whitford have been looking the goods and with a very strong win last weekend away from home against quality opposition you know they will be looking to knock off the pack leaders. Mt Lawley have put the rest of the competition away so far, but they face a tough opponent at a tough ground, MrM even saw one member during the week spruiking that “We never fall behind at our home ground!” SO Mt Lawley may be out to show him they do indeed. Mt Lawley will also be nervous about Marky Mark (Also MrM) not ruling out bringing back mandates and restrictions…just as a certain few were allowed back, could they be denied again. Either way MrM thinks Lawley too strong.
Mt Lawley by 3 goals

Wanneroo v Collegians @Wanneroo Showgrounds

Wanneroo had a strong win this past weekend and back at home for the second week in a row, will have the locals excited. Wanneroo were playing some good football last weekend, but up against Collegians can they maintain that effort other will it be a blue day for all. Collegians, off a loss at home will want to stop that slide and pick up that winning feeling again, but it could be a long slow day for the blue bloods if recent polls are anything to go by. MrM thinks Wanneroo at home, good strong crowd, will get it done over MrM’s very good friends.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

Good luck all, and do not forget to vote the RIGHT way.

Melville v BC - Bullcreek will be hungry to get a win here, as will Melville. Cant see Melville getting a win here. BC by 7goals
Baldivis v SA - Baldivis on their junior oval hard to beat. They have some dangerous forwards and a strong midfield. They will get the job done by 5goals
OR v Wembley - OR playing good footy and should be a good game. Or by 2goals
Whitford v Mt Law-  Could this be the game Mt Law drop. Have heard they have some serious injury problems so this will test their depth now. should be a good game and depends who Whitford pick up from wafl this week. Call a draw Wanneroo v Collegians - Should also be another good game. Wanneroo hard to beat at their oval south of Lancelin so they will win by a couple of goals.

Good day for it and good luck to all.

Ripper day for footy!

Bullcreek over Melville by 4 goals.
Baldivis over Ath by 6 goals who are having a bit of a nightmare so far this year.
Wembley will win this one by 3 goals. Both teams event matched but think W will get up, just.
Whitfords to win at home in what should be a good match up. Lawley unbeaten but not smashing sides.
Roos to get up over collegians by 4 goals at home. Another good game of footy here at the top end of the table.
