With a paltry 43 goals too Falc.....a very sad state of football affairs for those of us who pine for the days of the 100+ goal a year full forwards I grew up with!

It was the power midfielders which sadly arnt in the wafl anymore BH.Ralph had a strong lead and beautiful kick.85% of his marks where on his chest from the midfielders.

I'm not sure I agree there gtr...there's an abundance of very good midfielders at the WAFL these days when you consider Nelson and Black at WP, Schloithe, Pickett, Hockey at SF, Bolton, Hardisty, Mitchell at Cl, Horsley, Deluca, Kitchin, Phelan at Subi, Joes and Yeo at Perth just to name a select few....I think it's more about the chaotic nature of the game these days where everyone pushes up and contested possession is king which makes it hard to deliver the ball into forward 50 laces out to a leading forward.

BH+42..Gault Full forward in 2018 and Andrew Krakourer in our current midfield.Cory boots 75 this year.Remember big Red Hanson with that 08-09-10-12 midfield.

Gtr I would love to see a SD forward line next season consisting of Notte, Gault & Noble with some of our young small forwards at their feet.....we just need a fit, strong and skilled by foot quality midfield to supply them enough football...

Fair point you didn't see a Rugby scrum around the footy 30 years+ ago.Now there's 25 scrums a game. But also remember back to the late 70' early 80 the best midfielders and onballers where playing in the Wafl.

BH I just have a feeling that Freo might draft Gault. They could do a lot worse than consider him.I believe he is easily Afl standard.

Nothing would surprise me with those dingbats GTR even tho they have a plethora of ruckmen/forwards already......Sandilands, Darcy, Meek, Jones, Strnadica, Apeness, Cox.....

We both know Cory is better that at least 5 of the 7 you mentioned.

from the limited amount I've seen of Gault I think you could be right gtr....

We know the Afl should look more at mature aged rookies playing tier 2 footy.Just look at Subi with Menagola,Ryan.Sadly we can no longer talk about Yarran .

Perhaps West Coast as insurance but not Freo. The majority of the 7 listed from Freo have more upside than Gault
