My maths is not all that great but 5 teams into 2 places doesn't go.

Perth - Cl (H), SF (A), Subi (A) - could potentially lose all 3. Must win next week to have a good chance of getting through.
EP - Peel (A), EF (H), WP (H), Peel (A) - Should beat EF then will need to beat Peel at least once or WP to qualify.
Cl - Perth (A), Peel (H), SD (A) - Could win all 3 but more likely 2 with wins against Peel or Perth and SD.
SD - Subi (A), SF (H), Cl (H) - Very tough draw and can see them losing all.
Peel - EP (H), Cl (A), EP (H) - I don't think they'll beat Cl away so need to beat EP twice to make it which will be tough.
So based on the above, imo the 2 to make the finals will be Claremont and EP.

Good analysis BC. Next weeks Perth V Claremont game will be massive for both clubs prospects. Biggest game at Lathlain for many years. I am hoping the Dee's can sneak in.

Yep...all eyes on Lathlain next week. If Perth win then I think they'll be ok given they're a game ahead of the others and a better percentage than the Tiges so then it's down to Claremont and EP for the final spot as I don't think Peel can make it. Claremont are a good chance to win their remaining 2 and EP will just have to win 2 of their next 4 games starting this weekend given they have a slightly better percentage than the Tiges which they should be able to do….so that means Perth v Claremont next week is really for a place in the finals if everything else goes as it should....interesting times.

Of course, BC, the problem with winning just 2 games of 4 means you lose the other 2 (ignoring draws).
And if the wins are by a few points and the losses by 10-plus goals, your percentage cops a rogering.
I think teams eyeing 4th or 5th spot will need to win 9 games to be sure of getting there.

Yep agree...9 wins will make it a certainty whereas 8 will put you in the mix. My assumptions are premised on there being no blow outs either way.

In a season which many have said is quite ho hum, if Cl and EP win next week, there will be 4 teams all on 28 pts with 2 games to play....sometimes it's the journey not the destination which should be remembered....yeah Subi should win the GF, but having 7 teams in finals contention with a few rounds to go is a positive thing one would think....the next games for Perth, Cl, Peel and EP are all 8 pointers practically.....

42 considering SD kept Subi goalless in the second quarter and trailed by 5 pts at half time, there could still of been 8 teams vying for the finals....sadly SD didn't venture out of the sheds after half time....any reason why?

Thought you were in cahoots with Hodyl.....drop him a line asking Pete why SD didn't venture out of the sheds after half time, in a game they were trailing by 5 points, against the top team, who they had kept goalless that quarter, with a finals berth still on the offering.....surely Pete could enlighten you mate.....you can't ask DW because he left after the colts game.....
