..someone says Cox has played a fair whack of AFL games?.... yet his breakdown is 10 AFL and 9 WAFL....one game difference?...got no probs with that....just think the two or three times AFL to WAFL ratio is wrong eg Sutcliffe,Suban etc....

All the muppets at the WAFL need to do is bump the eligibilty to 10 WAFL games min....atleast then guy has played half a year of WAFL footy...not a third or quarter....and yeah cap the number allowed to play to 12.....

Dwert SF will be fine....SF have got a fair ew ex AFL guys and AFL wanabees....Shaw,Johnson, Verrier, Vandeleur, Cook, Hams,Wilson, D'Olio,Schloithe, Main and Garlett(11 ex AFL listed players)and AFL wanabees in Pickett and Kelly...and then mature bods in Higgins and Hockey....think SF is better equipped than most clubs.....just get on with it....Subi the same as well.....if you win Peel has no heart or no loyalty to the jumper..if Peel win its down to being
full of professionals.....it is what is....you wanna win a flag then you know what is needed...

I see JT has written an article in the West online on this very subject. I'm not sure if he read this thread or not but he agrees with what we're saying although he got it wrong when he suggested a simple rule change to make aligned players play more WAFL games than AFL during the year to qualify for WAFL finals. What he failed to recognise is that particular rule was already in place last year and the WAFC took it out for reasons unknown.

As JT says in the article by simply making the rule (re-including the rule) of more WAFL than AFL games would reduce the number qualified to 11 which is around the average number that Peel have used all season and so much fairer for the local Peel boys who have done the work to get them to finals and will now sit it out, watching the pampered AFL princesses maybe get the glory.
Anyway I'm heading down to Freo to watch our ressies and will stay and watch the league game.
Go the Doggies ... for 1 week at least :-)

Feel sorry for the young Peel guys who are going to miss out. Matthews was very good against the Sharks a few weeks back.

I guess they don't have to play 15 Freo- but no chance of that happening unless a few get ruled out

At the end of the day I cant see this years 2017 finals ending any differently than 2016

Peelmantle to go through unscathed for back 2 back

Granted I think South will be competitive on Saturday, but don't seeing us causing an upset this week or if we meet them again later in September

It is just another joke and a farce from the WAFC that have absolutely no interest in the integrity or credibility of the WAFL and they expect 30,000 to attend the GF.

By the way does anyone know whether the finals will cost more or less than the qualifying games?

Thought it was said that grand final tickets would be half price and kids under 16 free so as to get a crowd in and give subi a good send off.
