It would be silly not to pull some resources down from what we can get hold of and implement whatever works to our strengths'. That word RESOURCES has a real bad smell attached to it and the alignment will only get more resources thrown at EP and Peel in 2014. Brendan Lee has said it all really.

I wonder if these are the same sort of "RESOURCES" as Essenscum have been allegedly using!
I hope the testers are on duty at all of the WCE's & Freo's Reserves games this season!!

getting a bit silly now. drugs?

i dont think what lee said was anything suprising. i think everyone knows eastperth will try and gain everything from the new afl deal.

im not supporting it im against it. i cant really fathom how ep get the advantage of having all the wce players, yet also get $450000 a year.

would have thought ep should get the $150000 and the other non aligned wafl clubs get the bigger $ slice. the whole thing smacks of greed and unfairness im sorry to say. hope the comp can rise above all this but cant see it honestly

As an East Perth supporter, do you think many Royals will stop going to the games? Have you heard anything from your friends?

the alignment(s) is/are NOT designed for ANY other reason than to benefit the respective foreign bodies (V/AFL clubs)
There is no concern for the WAFL competition and never will be other than to try reduce their financial payments ie: the $150K
The other thing that pisses me off is that the puppets & the Filth get access to out of zone players as well , that's just unreal given they'll have nearly 20 V/AFL spares each week (if fit etc)

lahincha most of my friends a dead.

well not all of them im stretching the truth a little.

but my boys are all totally upset. theywere all very passionate and i guess part of younger generation. ones hoping to carry the torch for the near future i suppose. they have all said they wont be back and that is so sad in my eyes. i was the one who introduced them to it when they were about 5years old. i cant stop them because i agree with them. were all in the same boat. our boat has a hole in it .

i hope you keep supporting your club. i hope you all do.

The way I look at it is it's not ideal for the WAFL but it's been thrust upon us all - Now let's get on with it as this week the action starts !!!

The current alignment is for what 3yrs ??? Yes I think it's wrong and stupid.
If it doesn't suit the WAFL after this period then let's make sure that we piss the arrangement off once and for all !!!

Let's hope the WAFL survives during this time ???
I've got a feeling it will but things will be same same but little bit different ??

The other alignment years were shit for the comp and I see no reason why this time will be any different - Actually the rules and player arrangements are a lot worse for the other non-aligned clubs and the compensation package is ordinary.

The only chance of the WAFL surviving is if the competition is even and exciting.
I think this season will be close but next year when the other players from each club go to the DisRoyal Weagles and PeeledAway Dorkers things will get ugly.

Southerner before you make comment on something you should do your research.the full alignment has not taken place yet and the mighty royals only will have access to a few eagles players this year as the majority of players coming over from peel are eagles first graders. On non zone players you should have a look at the list
la hincha has put together to show how ill informed your comment is.The number of non zone players are as follows
perth 17 swans 16 south fremantle 14 subiaco 14
peel 12 west perth 12 claremont 9 east fremantle 8
east perth 7.
You will note that east perth has the least non zone players in preparation for next year and because the eagles and dockers love drafting sharks and tigers wannabees they have the next fewest. No matter how few non zone players east perth have the grumpy 7 will never be happy.

Chaddy east perth broke ranks. Simple and disgraceful.

Fair enough Mandurah to be taken over by the Dockers but not East Perth with 120 years of history.

Eagles should have formed a new club with a smaller zone.

We must move to that in 4 years.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Research - geez mate , everyone knows when & how the poison works .... 2013 trial run 2014 full runout ....
EPE have been very active recruiting OOZ's in recent years.
Probably always will be players going to other clubs too - part of it all.

No-one likes clubs who just go their own way and fark anyone else , we'll be right thanks jack , and you cannot tell me your club didn't have clandestine talks with the eagles behind everyone else's backs and agree to a deal secretly before any announcements were made - Chunder the same!

cheers!

Edit: you'll end up having all 36 (whatever it is exactly plus rookies) based there first grade or not
