More than likely right Grassy... Just remember reading that during the period tagged as the mining boom Col helped create an extra 23 billion worth of debt for us...booms been over for a while now and can only imagine that debt load is growing exponentially whilst this buffoon is steering the ship.

I will answer the question for you,,,$45 Million, They are by far the richest AFL club in the country....

My question is never mind the Stadium Deal with emamasing a fortune like that on the back of near bankrupting grass roots football, but are the West Coast Eagles good for WA football?

Baz -- they are loaded; but I can assure you they won't want to hand any of it over. Now, as you have pointed out, the wa commission owns the licence to the club so it could make a play for a larger stake in the monies generated by the Eagles and the Dockers. On the whole whole, though, Baz I would have preferred to avoid a civil war in WA football.

Grassy the republic is a non issue for most people who are or should be more concerned with health and education funding and any upcoming tax reforms. The republic and all the massive associated costs to implement it is and should be way down the list of things any Govt considers in these testing times as, if it were to be adopted, will have absolutely no impact on everyone's day to day lives.

Lets put the republic in another topic for another time and get back to the stadium issue, Swan 42 nailed it regarding the competency or lack there of by the WAFC, anything that mob are associated with should be viewed with great suspicion.

Seems they have been beaten by a much better tender that ... on face value ... will return a better result for the whole WA community/taxpayer and that should be the main criteria.

Mate, they are, Have you noticed with the recent 24 hours of crying poor by the WAFC they have not revealed or mentioned the real wealth they have stashed away?

The programme of misinformation regarding they feel good support for grass roots footy is a disgrace, they now expect to lean on the WA tax payer for a 15 Mill a year bail out, and not a single word about 55 Mill in Cash and Asets they have stashed away..

My question is , why has money been hoarded for so long and who exactly is benefitting, we all know there are many well heeled individuals on the boards concerned...

The WAFC owns the Dockers and FFC, they have ultimate control over them via the WAFC Act just like they have over the WAFL.

Agree with all that, but what the Fark has the republic got to do with anything?
