Ahh I think saying garlett has "a very promising career prospect" is an exaggeration. The kid did have a very promising career but that is well and truly gone. Even swannies would be mad to accept this kid back in now.

Unfortunately another kid who has succumb to the scurge of drugs and I think society is sick of hearing about these kids that want another chance after all the damage has been done.

Rehabilitate and bring back into society yes we should and need to do this...... bring them back into our sporting codes as future role models taking the place of other kids trying their guts out for a chance....no thanks.

Dayle got 5 years for his little drug fuelled expedition. I must admit even for repeat criminals (which I don't think Dayle is) 5 years is a serious wack.

There appears to be some inconsistency here by the courts as he got charged with motor vehicle, burglary and drug charges....not good but I can recall a bunch of sentences where blokes have bashed old grannies or killed people with king hits and got less....As far as I know he didn't have a significant previous criminal history?

Plenty of people take drugs and still can hold a job or career down.

Let’s be honest. This kid fell in with those people who theft and burglary is a way of life. Where else did he get the motives and learn the tricks of the trade.

Had every chance in the world but his mistake was to get dragged back to the pack.

No way would this young man be given another opportunity by another AFL club. He's already been given 2 or 3 chances and blown it.
