What's the issue? I have seen AFL talent scouts at colts games at 9am in the morning.

You're right about the volunteers though, those men and women but in very long days on match days.

Colts should be at the usual start time unless either there is a colts super round or the league is playing at a different time for tv broadcasts or league is playing on a Sunday or Monday. That in my opinion is the only time you can look at changing the time of a colts match.

So,the Bastards got their way!

Never mind the Club Volunteers like Propertymen,Trainers and Physio's.

Grassy I may be wrong, my wife tells me I am always, but I think the 5pm games are the 16's. I will be doing the colts and then waiting around to do the 16's for ep, I know this the case and accept that it is what it is!

Took your advice looked at site only two 5pm's that I could see, not unusual from past experience.

They would only be there so clubs can get to every game. Only a couple of clubs have 4 scouts so can't watch them all if the games are all at 9am Saturday morning.

they also have a super round where all the colts team play on the same day, usually at moss street.

I don't mind the odd shift in time, especially early in the season.

But clubs shouldn't have to bend over backwards for AFL Scouts.

Pick a game and go to it,9AM.

I didn't say it should be. Just giving an explanation. Clubs go for it to give their players greater exposure resulting in cash. It has nothing to do with laziness by the scouts; it actually makes a longer day for them.

The super round is as much for the state selectors but it gives a chance for all scouts to watch and confer.

I have seen night colts games be a positive at clubs as supporters who don't usually watch hang around after the league.

I can recall a night colts' game at Joondalup that was played after the league game. After the league game finished all bar about 6 people left: the scorboard attendant, myself and about 4 mates of one of the West Perth colts' players.

As for the convenience of the scouts: personally I would charge them $50.00 entry into the games and maybe even an "exit tax" as well.
