The SANFL will be bringing in new rules in 2016.
Clubs only allowed 50 rotations a game.
And a free kick against a player who kicks or handpasses the ball of bounds. It can come off hands or in a contest & go out of bounds ok, but not if its a direct handpass or kick. Its designed to limit teams playing the boundary and encouraging sides to play more up the middle of the ground. Plus reducing the constant congestion that is plaguing the SANFL these days.

I wonder if the WAFL will follow. Im sure the AFL will moniter it closely.

If the AFL shagged a legless wombat, the WAFL would follow suit.

But I don't mind those rule changes aman, anything that opens up our game instead of the cluttered rubbish we see at times these days, the better.

It would be nice if the rules were left alone for a few seasons , and not just changed to justify the existence of a rules committee .

In my opinion the congestion is a result of over 30 players following the ball around the oval , and forwards being caught up in the centre of the ground . Cant see these rules stopping this . All this does is create more grey areas for the umps . We seem hellbent on turning our unique game into a product that resembles soccer , basketball and rugby . Teams will still hug the boundaries .
I am all for less rotations in a game though .
