I believe that there is a proposal to redevelop the WACA into a boutique ground with a plan to play footy there as well. The suggested capacity is suggested to be between 10,000 - 15,000. It was also suggested that the WACA pitches wouldn't be removed for the footy.

It has been suggested on this forum that the WAFL Grand Final would be played at the WACA.

Do we seriously want to limit a WAFL Grand Final to 15,000? If the answer is yes, how have we gone so far back from the 2010 Grand Final? What or who is responsible for such a retrograde change?

If Swans are involved especially against a decent drawing side for a change (not $ubi or Claremont) it would have to be held at the new Perth Stadium 42 ...and even then I don't think the capacity would be enough to fit in all of us Black Ducks fans!! :cheer:

BH it is an absolute disgrace if the WAFC would countenance a suggestion that we should aim for a WAFL GF crowd of under 20,000.

Just to get the facts right, the concept is for a permanent capacity of 15,000 with ability to expand on temporary basis.

But the reality is the future WAFL GFs will very rarely attract crowds of over 15,000.

I would imagine a standard crowd of 5000 in around 10 to 20 years as the baby boomer backbone of the wafl pass away and the alignment takes it toll. WAFL will have Sunday League status if that.

Dont forget that should some miracle happen and thousands come flooding back we will have the stadium as a back up.

Fuck you are a negative prick! SD have the most passionate fan base and when we make the GF again it will have to be at a stadium holding 30k plus, period!
