Todays opinion piece in The West is worth a read. Paul Murray sticking up for WAFL. If only our WAFC could do the same.

yes...just read that astro and was pretty impressed by his going into bat for the WAFL. Also the state govts seats deal for all WAFL clubs at the new stadium is long overdue.

Is there an online link I couldn't locate it on West.com. Even though he is one eyed WP you obviously saw some merit in it BC.

He has been a good advocate for WAFL for a long time.

It is a pity a few more at WAFL who claim they are WAFL people do not do the same.

I am sure G Walton et al from the WAFC will have read the article today in complete and utter bewilderment how anyone could suggest that it is humanly possible that more could be done to support the WAFL clubs and competition than what the WAFC currently does.

Thank you very much Singha I worked out most of that, the pension doesn't run to the West Australian but I do get the Saturday paper for free at the football sometimes. He makes some great points in my opinion. I get the feeling though by the time this stadium blows out to double the cost or more every seat will be needed to make money for the Govt. I'm not sure the WAFL clubs will get the smell of an oily rag.

The fact of the matter is the WAFL has been piss weak in allowing the Subi cash train rort to go on for so many years.

It's totally irrellevant that Subi was once their home ground, once the Eagles came into being it was at the expense of every WAFL club and carried on all 8 of their backs, yet only one club got any real benefit from the cash flow at Subi, ludicrous.
